The Nalychevo – the springs of Kamchatka Tour
Day 1. A city sightseeing tour and Khalaktyrsky beach
The flight takes about 8 hours to reach Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky from Moscow. You’ll land at Elizovo airport located 30 kilometers away from the capital of Kamchatka Krai. You will be met by a guide and transferred to a hotel. Since the tour price is not high tourists will be accommodated in double rooms with shared facilities (toilet and shower are on each floors). However, you will find a hot home-cooked meal (breakfast, supper), and outdoor swimming pool with hot thermal water.
We’ll do a sightseeing tour round Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky city which has a glorious heroic history. Here, in the years 1854-1855 took place the heroic defense of the eastern borders of the fatherland from the Anglo-French invaders.
Our journey continues to the shore of the Pacific Ocean. How do you think what feeling you will have if you touch the cold water of the largest ocean situated at the edge of the Earth?
After walking and dreaming we’ll return to the hotel. Our trip among people comes to an end. Next we’ll start our incredible journey to the land of the volcanoes and wilderness of Kamchatka.
Day 2 – The beginning of the trekking tour to Nalychevsky park.
We are beginning to move to the valley Nalychevo across Avacha pass. There is the area of the hot springs to where we hike; the route is about 16 km.
It is the place of incredible beauty. We are surrounded by such volcanoes as Avacha, Koryak, Arik, Aag. The vast, wild terrain wonders us where is too easy to get lost and it attracts by its wilderness. The route lies along the solidified lava fields which are the consequences of the eruptions. Everywhere you may see large size lava bombs.
We are tired, but happy about our harmony with nature. We come to the place of our stopover near Krasnaya (Red) hill where we set up a camp and spend our first night under the stars.
Day 3 - Going through the Pinachevsky mountain pass and set up a camp.
Today the route is 12 km. On our way we’ll cross a few rivers. We’ll choose some places where we may cross the river and it’ll make our interesting journey a bit extreme. We’ll set up a camp near the waterfall on the river Shumnaya (Noisy) for another overnight.
Day 4. Nalychevsky cordon and magic narzans
The route of this day goes through a birch forest which is unusual for Kamchatka flora. Here it looks like a forest park. On our way we meet many the most beautiful flowers. One of them is Kamchatka endemic "Lady's Slipper".
We come to the Central cordon afternoon. After crossing it we are accommodated in the guesthouse at the territory of the Park. Let's go to the bath area, there water is really wonderful!
Day 5. Travertine Shield Boiler, hot and cold springs.
This day will be devoted to relaxation. We will bath in healing thermal springs, put thermophiles – alga on our body, which have life-giving forces. Of course, we will take a tour around all the springs and locations.
Our way to Travertine Shield Boiler. Travertine is a geological material which is created by mineral of calcium carbonate. Water from the boiler flow out into the stream crossing Central cordon.
The park workers support and fix the bank. Otherwise it’ll kill off the surrounding vegetation because of overflowing.
Day 6. Talovsky cordon in Nalychevo Park
Has not your thirsty for adventure been satisfied yet? Today we go to nearby hot springs which are located on Talovskoye cordon of Nalychevo Natural Park. Path is not long; it takes 4 hours. Stunning trail and beautiful nature will not make us tired. We set up a camp near the springs.
Day 7. The crater of Dzendzur volcano, the Zhelob stream
This day will be very interesting. We will visit the destroyed crater of Dzendzur volcano. Along the way we admire the Zhelob stream which is going through the hard rock of ancient lava. We will see waterfalls, and of course unreal beautiful volcanic cones - Zhupanovsky, Kronotsky, Karymskii. In the evening we return to the place of our overnight stay - Talovsky cordon.
Day 8. A trip to the Nalychevo Valley – springs of Kamchatka
We return to the cordon Nalychevo of Central Park. We have a rest there.
Day 9-11 A trip back through Pinochevsky pass
It's time to go back. The backpacks are packed and the trail leads us to Pinachevsky pass. We across it, and once again feel the pride. Then we’ll go down to the valley. We’ll set up a camp for overnight.
Our path goes through bushes of filipendula and so called “puchka”. The plant (heracleum) may burn skin when flowering so it’d be better if you have clothing covering all your body.
After crossing 45 kilometers during 3 days we reach Pinachevo village where the vehicle picks us up and drive us to the guesthouse. You’ll have free time to freshen up yourself till the end of the day and have a rest before departure.
Day 12. Fly back home
Before departure we’ll take a look at the market and buy the red caviar of Kamchatka fish for your friends, visit local craftsmen and buy different crafts and souvenirs made of the leather, bone and wood. We go the airport. Our trip comes to an end and it’s time to say goodbye. We hope to see you again, dear friends!
