KamchatkaLand is the official tour operator in Kamchatka, founded in 2011. We are a small family company: we were born and grew up on the peninsula, traveled around it and gradually gathered friends - professional guides. And for 10 years we have been doing what we love: showing our native land to guests from other cities and countries.

Our mission is to make you see maximum natural beauties and get to know Kamchatka from different sides during one trip: climb a volcano, fish, learn Koryak dances, watch bears and seals.

Our specialty is comfort. We know how important it is for you that the route was safe, the food was delicious, and the room was cozy. That's why we don't economize on tourists' comfort: we book good hotels with swimming pools, buy a lot of seafood and caviar, and entrust the menu to professional chefs. There are no extreme, backpacking or category climbs in our routes, so participants from 12 to 65 years old can handle them.

History of our company

Tour operator and guides in Kamchatka

Hi! My name is Liliya, I am the founder of Kamchatkaland. It so happens that when telling the story of our company, it's hard to avoid my personal story. So I will start from afar:

1964 1964

Where it all began

I was born in Ust-Kamchatsk, a small village in the north of the peninsula, just beyond the famous Kliuchevskoi group of volcanoes. There is the ocean, wild forests, rivers, and silence all around, only the volcanoes sometimes rumble. I loved exploring these places, I had been hiking and practicing sports tourism since my youth.

Then I studied in Khabarovsk, returned to Kamchatka, and moved to Petropavlovsk. I continued traveling around the peninsula - with friends, and then with my family.

2009 2009

The first tour groups

I started working as a tour guide by invitation in various companies. I accumulated experience and formed my own idea of how this work should be done.

2011 2011

The foundation of Kamchatkaland

My long-time friends and I tried organizing tours ourselves. We had only three groups during the first summer, and after that I realized that I had found my own, truly beloved business. This is how our company Kamchatkaland was founded.

But you can`t get far on love of the business alone. You also have to deal with marketing, accounting and all the other intricacies of business. My son Leonid took over all this. By that time, he had just finished his studies in St. Petersburg at the Faculty of Economics and Management.

Finalists for the «Route of the Year» Award

Our participation in Russia`s most prestigious tourist contest “Route of the Year” brought us the 2nd final place in the nomination “Best Sports Route”. It was our first experience of submitting our work to the jury. Such a victory is a great inspiration, we have new plans for moving forward.

Let`s keep it going

We have no ambition to expand to the level of a tourist corporation. We remain ourselves - a small cozy company. Now Kamchatkaland permanently has 10 guides, 4 cooks, 3 drivers, 2 translators, a photographer and videographer and 1 managers. And all this to make you visit Kamchatka, marvel at its beauty and want to come back to us again!
